TIMBER KNOLL RABBITRY

Hi, my name is Kristin  I have been raising rabbits with my mom Carol for over 10 years. We have a passion for rabbits and showing through ARBA. We currently specialize in Champagne D’Argents, Velveteen Lops and Flemsih Giants, at which we have been very successful. We are just beginning with Belgian Hares so have not had any winnings yet, but we absolutely love them and will continue with them as a speccialty. We have raised many other breeds ( we have owned 1 or more rabbits of a total of 21 different breeds!), you could say experimental breeds, (Some include Angoras, fuzzy Lop, Silver, and Tan) but so far my favorite has to be the Champagnes because of their unique color changing ability as well as the Belgain Hare for the looks and amazing personality.

Starting out my mom got me started in 4-H with a mutt mini lop-looking rabbit that we had purchased from the local pet store, I was about 9, and we weren't in it for the showing and breeding- it was just a fun sideline hobby. Since then, we have expanded into a rabbit showing business by creating our own rabbitry, purchasing and showing only show-quality rabbits, breeding for show-quality babies, helping new members get started by sharing our knowledge, and traveling to national and state-wide rabbit shows.

Over the years we helped lead and start a local 4-H club that we became a part of for over 6 years, competed statewide and nationally with our rabbits winning numerous Best of Breeds, Best in Shows, Reserve in Shows, and several state youth ARBA royalty titles. We have learned a lot, which has helped us be successful with rabbits, and also helped others get started with rabbits and become successful.
